Debbie has been a professional make-up artist since 1994. Having had the opportunity to work with top fashion photographers, models and magazines, has given Debbie the experience and edge to pass on her knowledge, through teaching state-of-the-art make-up techniques on her make-up website.
Debbie’s clients include the following international publications: Marie Claire, Men’s Health, Glamour, Shape, Cosmopolitan/Cosmo Girl, GQ, La’Official and Grazia magazines.
Debbie was the owner of The Make-Up School, in Gauteng, South Africa for 5 years and was the co-founder of a make-up range called – Professional Make-Up (PMU), this involved the developing, packaging, marketing and selling of the product.
To most women, fashion make-up artists are people they merely see doing make-up for pop stars or transforming women on television doing makeovers. Ladies watch in envy as they witness the select few lucky make over candidates being given expert advice on their individual features and wish it could be them getting the star treatment. Debbie believes every woman deserves to be treated like a star and every woman deserves to have access to expert advice from a professional make-up artist. She also feels very strongly about DOING NO HARM, and only recommends make-up brands on her site that are cruelty free. Debbie’s website and blog are used for educating others, rather than pushing the latest make-up products.
Women today have become aware of the distinct difference between the make-up artist sales person at the cosmetic counter and the professional fashion make-up artist. The problem is actually getting to consult with the professional artist! This is why RealWomenMakeup.com was born - now everyone has the opportunity to consult with a top fashion make-up artist. |
